Is there a higher percentage of diabetes among psoriasis sufferers? I've had psoriasis for 5 years (I'm 62 yrs old) and was diagnosed yesterday with type 2 diabetes. I was just reading some info on diabetes and saw this: Other theoretical causes for the defiency of insulin include viral infection of the insulin-producing beta cells of
the pancreas, toxic reaction to N-nitroso compounds (found in smoked and cured
meats), and auto-immune disease.
