Permalink Reply by Amy on February 23, 2009 at 8:27pm Hi Amy, I am hoping I can get the medication for a small co-pay. Still waiting on some paperwork to go through. Sorry to hear about your psoriasis. What has been working for you now???
Well I tried Humira first then I tried Enbrel. Neither one of them worked for me just made it worse. Now they want to put me on Remicade but are having second thoughts because I have already tried the two shots. I have had psoriasis since I was 10, so going on 15 years. I dont know what to do anymore. When I was pregnant with my daughter I didnt have psoriasis at all, then after I had her I got it really bad. I have it from head to toe. So if anyone has any suggestions that would be much appreciated.

Permalink Reply by joy65 on February 26, 2009 at 8:55am I have been on Enbrel for over 3 years . It has worked great for me. When I first started taking Enbrel it took about 8 weeks before I started to notice improvement in my psoriasis. Enbrel cleared me completely with in a few months after I started. I have not had any bad side effects. I do tend to get sick alot though. When you get sick you have to stop taking Enbrel til you are better. I hope Enbrel helps you.

Apparently the FDA is investigating it because 3 users have died from a brain infection called PML, for which there is no cure. Because of this scare, I stopped taking Raptiva.Enbrel has worked wonders for many is what I've heard unfortunately it wasn't my savior and didn't help me at all! After I get my hip replaced in may I may be trying raptiva soon after! I hope for you Enbrel helps you immensely and is what you need to clear up this dreaded disease!
