I just started here today, so not sure if you have talked to your doctor yet, but my husband and I are wanting kids and I talked to my doctors and they all said that I would have to stop taking Humira because there have been no studies done on pregnant woman. They also said that pregnancy seems to help psoriasis, or at least keep it at bay.
Seeing old pics of my mom when she had me and my brother....Hers was terrible ....but I am scheduled to speak with a genetic specialist and medication specialist Oct 20th to see what i can take and can't take. So we will see! I'll keep ya posted.

Stephanie, how did it go with the Enbrel and pregnancy? :)
Well I had just switched from enbrel to humira when I became pregos! So far so good. Each ultrasound the baby looks healthy so I'll keep everyone posted. Got my fingers crossed that the Humira won't harm the baby and that the baby will not have Psoriasis! Today i am 15 wks preg.

We just learned about a nonprofit that offers information about medication use related to pregnancy. Called OTIS, the website is http://www.otispregnancy.org and the toll-free number is: 866-626-6847. If anyone calls this org please let us know how it goes.
You cant take Enbrel while youre pregnant. If you read the information in the package it comes in it says it. I think it can cause birth defects. But ask your doctor for sure.
I did call OTIS, My genetic specialist gave me the number. I am now enrolled in an observational study with Humira. They will follow my pregnancy and when the baby is born send a doc to my house to check him. I did let them know that we have a chromosome birth defect (that is not caused by the meds, my husband is a carrier of our birth defect we found out after we had an amnio and then further DNA testing) and they are still going to follow me.
