I just started the stelara a month ago and will get second injection on 12/28. My first injection seems to be helping. I have tried all of the meds on the market eith little success. I really hope to see good results with the stelara, I hope you will begin to see results soon. Good Luck
I am glad it is working for you, I got my second shot on 12/17. but mine got worse over that 1 month, but I think it has alot to do with stress over the holidays, I know that stress is a trigger for me, and mine is on my head and ears, I tan in a tanning bed so all the other places are cleared up, but I think your scalp is the worse place to have it cause scratching can cause infection easier on your head....I was in the hospital for 3 days the last time it got really bad, but I am being optimistic that it is going to start working soon. Good Luck to you and Merry Christmas.

Well i hope it works for you!!! i would love to know if it worked or not for your next shots. it would be great to have to go visit the doctor only 5 times a year for a change! i have also tried everything available for psoriasis/arthritis! so good luck and happy new years! :-)
Hi everyone!
I was on Raptiva with wonderful results, for 3 years my skin was completely clear!!! Last April I had to stop and went immediately to Humira...within 3 months i was 50%covered again, so I switched to Enbrel and now I'm 90% covered! Tuesday the dermatologist suggested Stelara so as soon as insurance approves I will begin my treatment. I hope it works!!
I pray Stelara works for you!!!!!! I have been 90% covered and I know how much pain it is...It is pure hell to be like that....Please let us know how things are going with the process....Right now Im on Remicade and I love hearing more about all the new meds....We all know we get immune to medications and have to keep trying and keep trying.....Im praying for you now and when you get Stelara.....let us know!
Thanks Cindy,
I really appreciate the support! I am very fortunate to live in Florida and be near the ocean! I have to stop wishing for Raptiva to be back on the market, it was my wonder drug...I will keep you posted! Julie

it has cleared my fingertips that's it. I'm hoping next shot it will do better. I get my second one tomorrow.
Well, today is April 28 and I finally got my first shot of Stelara!!! It took a while cause I needed 90mg instead of the regular 45mg....two shots of 90mg sent to my dr's office was $22,000, my insurance covered it with just a copay of $45. I get my second shot on May26. I am hoping this works because i have tried Humira and Enbrel... with no results but Raptiva cleared me completely. I took pictures today so I'll keep everyone posted!!

Well, today is June 6...on May 26 I received my second shot of Stelara....and it is unbelievable how well it is working! The lesions on my legs went from bright red to pink...I even wore shorts on my cruise over Memorial Day! Of course i swam in the ocean and snorkeled so I'm sure the salt and sun helped, but I credit it to the Stelara. My next shot is July 18, so hopefully by then I'll be completely clear!!! I am thrilled!!!!
My next shot is August 18 !!! Geezzz I can't count... but today is June 19 and I can't believe how well Stelara is working for me!!! I am THRILLED!!!! I have on a skirt today showing my legs!!! woohooooo

I have been on Stelara for 3 months and it really works! I have tried everything on the market including Humira and Enbrel after one shot of Stelara I was almost completly cleared. I could wear my shorts again after so many years of not being able to wear shorts. It's been a blessing to me. Good Luck Everyone.julie bantz said:
