I'm new to having psoriasis and just wanted to know things that have helped others.

how is that working for you Christina?....I happen to love that method of treatment....the saran wrap is annoying but it really works....have you tried the jama treatment?

i'm probably the 100th person to emphasize that what works for me might not work for you, and what works today might not work tomorrow. having said that, i'm using Clobex spray. it's expensive, it's strong, and it's worked for a while on me. unfortunately, i think i'm at the point where i need to change it up, but i can tell you when i first started, it cleared me up about 80% rather quickly. i've also gotten cortozone shots which help temp., but there have been times the shot has eliminated a patch here or there.

What is the jama treatment? and its okay its very uncomfortable, plus its really starting to thin my skin, its really sensitive :/

Hi Christina, I've had P for 27 years and the best thing for me so far in Enbrel, and Methotrexate combo. Dont let anybody scare you out of- or talk you into- taking meds, you have to decide for yourself. I've tried everything and the enbrel makes me feel free as a bird. I dont miss wrapping myself up in plastic or living on vegetables for anything! This isn't the 80s or 90s anymore, the medicine has come a long way so dont sell yourself short. Make sure you have really good doctors, Go see a Rheumatologist!!! Good luck!!

the cream I use for now is Dermae
Psorzema Creme
it's all natural with vitamins. i put it on constantly through out the day.
i bought it on sale at my health food store.
the other diet that worked for me was anti-candida diet.
only protein and veggies for 4 weeks, then slowly introduce bitter fruits, then some rice crackers.
it worked pretty well!!!
but it's hard giving up all your fun foods. i did it for a year and looked great.
