Neither me nor my husband has psoriasis. My son got this disease a few weeks after a big wound on his knees that nothing could heal it. then wrong diagnosis happend and his treatment was delayed. I sent the pictures of his lesions to Doctors that I knew and finally they told us it is psoraisis. first it was bad but graduly along with the treatment it got better. it is a few months that I have noticed worsening of his problem. I am going to see his doctor in a few weeks to see what more choices we have. I am concerned about taking Methotrexate or other immunosuppressant agent at this age. I hope that I can get a releif soon because it is very stressful for me although I try to calm him down and encourage him and tell him it is not a big deal.

Hi, my son has psoriasis since 4 years ago. I feel bad about it. It´s so hard to talk to him and explain many things, specially that it doesn´t have a cure yet. I have tried many things, but it doesn´t work. Sometimes it gets better, but just for a while. But we need to continuos our life and try to show to our son that it´s possible to live with this, it´s possible to have almost a normal life and other people have the same deciese. Don´t give up.

Thank you Marco for your note. Yes it is really difficult to explain things to the kids this age. it is the age that self-esteem is very important to work on. How a kid like them can tell his friends about his condition? How I can tell him that not to wear short sleeves while he wants to be same as other kids. How I tell him not not eat triggering food while he can see many kids can eat those and you know there are lots of how and why in my mind. I am trying to stay strong for him and talk to him about all his strong points.
