ive been on remicade since last july and since my last injection i have felt extremely tired, sore, tingling & numbness in my legs and arms and sick to my stomach... i was wondering what were some of everyone elses side effects because im beggining to wonder if all those things are just from the remicade?

i feel similar sideeffects from my enbrel...diff med but doing the same sorta thing.
weird thing....I have only had headaches as a side effect so far....although my last infusion i was at the hospital at the same time another lady was getting hers done...we were across the hall from one another....our infusions were started at the same time and wham...all of a sudden both of us started having blood pressure issues....my blood pressure has been high lately....it went very low for me and i had to get extra fluids and experienced dizziness...the lady across the hall from me, she started throwing up and her blood pressure bottomed out and she actually passed out....the nurses thought there was something to it and questioned the pharmacy....everything turned out ok for both of us...but it was strange......

im sorry about your side effects....i hope they get better soon!!!!! keep us posted....
cindy i have that low blood pressure problem every infusion..the nurse always ask if im still alive lol. I think im gonna go to the doctor about all this soon because its been hard doing everyday things this past week. & jamie i loved enbrel until it stopped working after five years but good luck with it. It was the best medicine ive been on i just wished it still worked for me!
Hi Shanika,

I stopped Remicade in November. I have experienced the same side affects as you described, but the throat infections are the worst. Be sure to let your doctor know what's going on. Good Luck
Thanks pasty im glad to know im not the only one. Im planning on going to the doctor soon.
Patsy....I have had sinus issues for almost 4 months now...i thought it was due to the weather....and my tonsils are always swlooen...so much now that i have to drink after almost every bite i take just to get the food down....my derm put me on a round of antibotics before my last infusion hoping it would help...it didnt...i still have the huge tonsils and the nosebleeds....i have asked a few doctors and some of them think it is remicade and some of them think it is where i work in the dusty ER.....the reason they think this is because someone else i work with has a "funky immune system" and she has been having the same things...swollen tonsils and nose bleeds....hopefully someday i can just be a stay at home mom and see then if it is the work envir. or the infussions....but for now my doctor is doing labs and keeping a very close eye on me.....

Cindy,
The only good thing about being off Remicade since November is my tonsils have finally on back down and I can swallow without the feeling of choking. They did send me to an ENT their answer was to remove my tonsils. (not ready for all that)

Shanika - Although Remicade is a life changing drug for a lot of people and has improved their quality of life, I had SEVERE reactions to it. I ended up seeing a lot of specialists to figure out what was wrong with me and I can't beleive that none of them connected it to the Remicade until I was as severe as I was. I had the symptoms that you described as well as intention tremors, muscle spasms, vision problems, etc.
Pay attention to yourself and your body. Don't leave it up to doctors because I don't want anyone to get as bad as I was.
On the other hand, being on a biologic can make a person paranoid about every ache and pain. So, again, listen to your own body and weigh the positives and the negatives.
i know all the negative things make you want to change your mind but everyone is different so atleast give it a chance. remicade changed my life! i was so depressed and miserable & went years without wearing shorts but after a few months of remicade i was clear. & the side effects get me down sometimes but im gonna try to stick with it as long as my skin is clear! good luck with whatever you decide to do!
