Psoriasis Cure Now Community Network

Hi all!  I have been reading several (older) posts about scalp issues, and i just wanted to share my experience.

i'll start off by being honest, i pick- a lot.  and somehow my hands always wound up in my hair picking at my scalp.  i was put on several different steroid creams, foams, shampoos, etc and NOTHING was helping.  while i was poking around on the comupter i saw an article that suggested that because of the picking/ washing/ touching of the scalp that it often becomes infected.  and unless i knocked the infection out, dealing with the p was pretty much useless.  i brought this idea to my derm, and with one look he told me i was absolutely correct- infection- covering the majority of my scalp.  all red, hot, and infected.  the derm gave me DORYX which was an antibiotic/ anti inflamatory and it worked!

i just wanted to get out there that it may be more than just the p on the scalp making it harder to get rid of.... save someone a few steps i had to walk.

Even I had taken some antibiotics for my scalp P. That really helped me to a great extent. You are right.Picking/touching does not help p. One should avoid doing so. Thanks for sharing your experience.
