Hi everyone.  I have recently developed a decent P outbreak in private region.  I am going to contact my dermatologist tomorrow and schedule an appointment.  Needless to say, I am very concerned about it.

In curious if anyone else currently has or has had P in that region.  If so, how did you treat it?  Was it successful?  Thanks!!!

Hi Dan,

Unfortunately, I think that most of us who have had extensive coverage of psoriasis have had to deal with it heading south and all points in between. In my earlier breakouts, I had to deal with it extensively and I was a purple mess. At the time, I was on creams and ointments that did little to squelch the burning and cracking. Vaseline was a God send. I started methotrexate and it did a well enough job to heal some of my skin. Good luck!!!!!!
Hey Dan...I agree with Sharicka.....everyone that has severe psoriasis has delt with this kind of coverage....I never found anything that worked as well as using just a small tad of the cormax just in the public bone region...you cant put it on sensitive skin so actually on the private area wouldnt be a good idea as it causes a great deal of burning like putting alochol on a cut.....good luck...let us know what the doctor says as some people may be to sky to ask their doctor about their private psoriasis....
Looking back at my original post, I realized that it was somewhat incomplete. I have had minor P in my private area for the past 7 or 8 years. While a bit painful and unsightly, it was nothing out of the norm. Last summer/fall, it started getting and I began taking Protopic for it. The results were almost immediate and most of it disappeared.

In the following months, the Protopic results were hit or miss as the region kept going back and forth from being good to bad and then back to good. My post was expressing my frustration with it being bad once again. Sorry if this post led to any confusion.
