With the news that Kim Kardashian has psoriasis, we're curious how people feel about stars going public with their psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Is it a good thing that raises awareness? Or are these cases so different from ours that it gives people the wrong impression? A bit of both?
With LeAnn Rimes, Phil Mickelson, CariDee English and others going publi... in recent years, it's certainly a new phenomenon for our community.
Bonus and semi-unrelated question: is Kim Kardashian famous outside the USA?

The difference between these people and many of us though, is that we do not have the unlimited funds to spend trying everything available to clear it up like they do. I think it is great that these famous folks who have P go public with it; it can only help get awareness of psoriatic disease out to the masses. It would also be great if some of them would band together and help by donating some of their time and/or money to Psoriasis events that raise funds, champion for more research towards a cure, promote awareness, and provide emotional support.
