Hi - I am a 60 year old woman and I have had psoriasis for over 20 years. I am currently having the worst flare-up ever-on my legs, arms, stomach etc. I have tried all of the topicals, UVB and my doctor wants to put me on methotrexate. I am scared to death of the side effects and it seems that  there are so many bad experiences posted.  I know that people are more likely to post about negative experiences but I would love to here from anyone who has had a good result with minimal side effects?

Thats great that you are able to get relief with less meds. My rheumie says that I have what is called a "blunted effect" to meds for PA. So it takes a lot more to give me relief.
I am very fortunate to be able to do that. I have arthritis in my hands and still able to use them which is a blessing also. Cause hubby is busy at work and wouldn't know what to do if I had to depend on him. I am worried about the toes though - cause I need to walk but I also need my hands so if either of them go I;m up the creek.

My Psoriasis is really bad this summer.
I was just increased to 40 mg a week this week...sunday being my first day.. .and oh boy was I nauseous!

Anyone know if the injections decrease the nausea?
I heard that the injections are easier, much better tolerated...I am on a fairly low-dose but they make me feel sick...have had them increased once...
