I'm a 21 year old, who's had plaque psoriasis on my scalp and eyebrows for 4 years now. I've pretty much tried all the topical stuff from the doctors, they offer, but then with the horrible realization that it either didn't work, or after working for awhile, I could only use it for so long, and it would come back even worse. The side effects and harm it would do to my body was not worth going through to me, as I didn't want to add on any more future problems. I am now seeking a holistic approach and so far, am liking the little results I do see. This disease is a disease from hell, that I wish no person to go through. My biggest problem is I can hardly find people who truly understand the depths of what it can do to someone. The anxiety, time-consuming, self-consciousness, paranoia, stress, mental and physical effects, etc, this disease causes. I find only through my relationship with Jesus Christ that I can overcome those things, but in my times of doubt and not trusting, they come back. I'm in a daily battle to fight this, and will not accept it will be forever. I'm looking to find people who either have this disease or know and understand it, and will love and accept me with it, in my hometown. I was hoping this site would help me to find that. If not that, just joining with others in this fight, encouraging each other, and sharing what works and what doesn't.
