Hi Mary  Nice to hear the MDX is starting to work. It's a good sign that the drug is going to help you.

I took MDX for about 3 years when my last liver exam can back at a 3a. A 3b would mean it was no longer working. The year before the exam can back normal. Please be sure you that you make all your liver exams they are important. I had 1 every 18 months or so,. I would stall as long as I could between exams before my derm would say no more. then I make my appointment and get my next MDX refill. I was on a 10 pills a week program. Every drug works differently on different  people so let hope you  are one who can go a long time without problems. I think it is one of the better meds if your liver can cope with it.  Later Gary

Hi Mary I'm doing fine thank you. My P is pretty much on a slow decline. Still have some hot spots on my knees, but over all things are really great. I watch my diet really close and take 5000 i.u. of Vitamin D. a day. Thats my only med. Drug free. I did really well an the MDX until I couldn't take it any longer. You will find that it will control you P. Have a Great itch free Day.

Hi Mary How is the gluten free diet working? Psoriasis is caused by the leaky gut syndrome. Stop the leak to the blood stream and you can cure your P. No hard to do but it take time and dedication. Have you had a blood test to isolate the foods that you are allergic to? That is important to find out. I'm off yogurt, cottage cheese( that's dairy but even that made from goats milk) and all veggie skins that come from the ground. Let me know how your doing. Gary

Well you guessed right. No wheat, dairy or sugar, is what i'm doing. That might be extreme but it works for me. Took a blood test for food allergy's. I went though a 28 day detox diet. Spent a lot of time searching and cooking the right foods but in the end it has been worth it. I lost 30 pound on the detox but have gained some of it back now that I eat a larger verity of items. Gluten free products are showing up a lot more in local stores now. If you would like more info, try you might email :

Hi Mary 

Right now I'm controlling my P with a diet. I've been off drugs for a year and a half. I still have P but I can live with it. It took 20 yrs to get to the point of heavy drugs so I can work on this for a few years before I can say " I'm cured" Still itch because new skin does. Even a bad sun burn, which I got in light therapy, will itch when it heals. Good luck
