healing more and more every day!!

My skin is the best it has been in 20 plus years! no more flakes, no more itch, no more gross!!! Still a long way to go!! its been two months now and everything is calm. I am going to keep going although I know there is not a cure for P...I truly believe that if I continue at this rate my P will go away because each day I notice the P shrinking more and more. LOVE MY NEW LIFESTYLE!!!

"P" in the Rainbow State?

There are no members from the Rainbow State, yet I see the signs of "P" around me in the Island of Oahu. Should I "out" them? Privately of course...It would be nice to talk about "P" 2 someone face 2, I would never do that I know the shame involved with "P", shoot I still hide mine (I refused to wear shorts when the flares are bad or I will only go to the beach when I know it will be deserted....LOL I know ridiculous). I Guess I am still dealing with the shame myself and I know I'm letting…

My journey with Humira

So 2 weeks ago I switched from Enbrel to Humira. I had been on Enbrel for over 6 years. It took me from 90% covered to about 20% covered with about 3 or 4 flair ups over those 6 years. The last one was enough. I knew there were more meds out there and I was ready to try something new. The first shot of Humira stung so bad!!! But in the last two weeks I have noticed a difference.I did get a terible sinus infection two days after injection. Here are pics of two weeks ago…

Psoriasis research budget holds at record level - good news!

The US Government, through the National Institutes of Health (NIH), maintained in 2010 its record level of research funding for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.  The total was $16 million, as it was in 2009.  As recently as 2005 the total was just $5 million.
