I've been suffering from psoriasis for about three years now and nothing has ever made it better. I've been to five dermatologist and none of them seem to care about me as a patient. They are all tossing me around like I'm some kind of animal. I really don't know what to do. It's like every morning I wake up the first thing that creeps through my mind is my psoriasis. I scratch myself to sleep. I've tried practically everything but nothing seems to work. I live where the sun always shines, the palm trees always sway, and the ocean always rubbles. Unfortunately, I am unable to wear shorts or swim suits because of this condition.

There were countless days I stayed up crying out to God because it hurt so bad. Additionally I hate taking a bath because the water feels like alcohol on my flesh. How could I possibly look at myself in the mirror when I have psoriasis covering me. I hate it so bad. I have to worry about wearing black or dark colors because flakes always show. I can't get out of the house without feeling depress. I hate not being a normal person. I feel like there's nothing else out there that could help me. I hate the fact that it's itchy, flaky, dry, irritating, and disgusting. Will I have this when I get married? Sometimes I worry if I have babies if they're going to get it. I can't possibly let anyone else have this... the pain is unbearable.

Is there anyone who can give me advice on how to cope this.

awww, I want to hug you!! I have soo been where you are! I have also only had this for 3 years. Just showed up out of no where! It was heart breaking when I found out it would never go away. Its been a long road since then. Have you tried tanning? The sun helps sooo much but I was so self-conscious of being out in public with my psoriasis, so I tried tanning and it worked for me.

thanks everyone. You are all super sweet. Hopefully I get help as soon as possible. I'm actually going to see a specialist in March... I hope I qualify for Enbrel or Humira? Which ones the best? I heard they are really pricy.

Are there any dermatologists where you live that specialize in Psoriasis? Regular derms don't have a clue and I would suggest if there isn't one who specializes, and you have insurance, to tell one of the docs you've visited to get you started on Enbrel or Humira immediately. For most people it helps considerably and for some lucky ones it is miraculous!
