January 2010 I had an appt. with a new dermatologist: This is where the story begins. The new derm enters the room and we go over medical history, my skin and joint issues. (by this time I received my last remicade infusion in November 09 and was feeling great) we decided since I had never had a biopsy on my feet we would start there, only my rheumatologists had diagnosed me with psoriasis. After a two week wait on the results I went back to get them, needless to say to my surprise the biopsy was negative for psoriasis, so then came patch testing which I showed a reaction to some of the steroid types, now I am so happy I can't even tell you! Now lets move to the end of February: I wake one morning and had great difficulty getting out of bed, my joints hurt so bad walking was almost impossible. The thing I noticed was different joint were hurting it wasn't only my knees, but was also my wrist, elbows, ankles, toes, and back, then guess what my feet and hands starting to break out worse than ever. Called my rheumatologists against his wishes I asked for prednisone, so after 3 weeks of the prednisone I felt better, but knew it wasn't going to last, so back to the dermatologist I go. Now she thinks I could have or the remcide had me in remission. After waiting for all the prednisone to be out of my system, and the pain returned I went back for the second biopsy. My appt was today for the results yes I indeed have psoriasis pustular on my hands and feet. I have been back on Hurmia for the last 3 weeks. So I now have the answer I was searching for.
