Everyday it's a battle and every moments it's a struggle. Recently, I've been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and it was extremely difficult to accept that. I'm only 19 and I'm already suffering from stiff joints. Though, my body feels like it's 70. Getting out of bed can be a tremendous task for me because everything is stiff. From my fingers down to my toes it's throbbing with intense agony. However, war for me is getting up after a long lecture. I have to wait until most of my fellow classmates evacuate the room because it's embarrassing standing up awfully slow. I don't know when this will ever stop. I hate how I have to repeat this excruciating ritual everyday.

Nonetheless, it's hard to be positive when my loved ones around me is seeing me suffer. I be strong on my own because as possible I wouldn't want anyone to feel sorry for me. I hate having those outbreaks. I can recall one day when I was in college my sophomore year and all of a sudden I had a psoriasis outbreak during class. Literally, my skin felt like it was going to fall off. It was itchy, burning, cracking, bleeding, and dry all at the same time. I couldn't possibly stay the whole lecture. Leaving was embarrassing, but what was even more humiliating was people seeing me cry at school. I couldn't hold in the pain no more. I vividly picture sitting down near a tree and crying and praying out to God to help me. I didn't care if anyone saw me nor did I care how I looked. I was in the worst pain you could possibly think of. That was one of the worst gloomy days of my life. Going through that was unbelievably crazy. Those days have proven my capabilities of overcoming anything. Although, I had an outbreak I managed to pull through and be strong. I know that God will help me through this. The pain that I am feeling is nothing compared to the amount of pain his son went through. I just have to keep reminding myself that life is precious. I know that there are worse situations out there. I'm grateful that this isn't tremendously drastic.

My question to you all is what was your worse outbreak and what did you do to overcome it?

Thank you for sharing your son's obstacles and what he goes through. It is difficult to handle. You must be a really strong, loving, and caring mother. That is what helps us get through anything. My mother is extremely helpful when it comes to helping me with my psoriasis condition. I bet you help him as well. I will pray for your son. Don't forget that every battle is what testes our faith. We just all have to be hopeful and grateful for everything we have regardless of whatever condition we possess. Thank you Marie for your support. Take care and God bless

Thank you for sharing your struggles, Jel. What an inspiration you are to exhibit such strength and determination! My thoughts and prayers are with you!!
My son is experiencing the same thing. He was stricken with a psoriatic arthritis outbreak almost a month ago now and is in extreme pain. He is a musician, a music producer and on the worship team at his church but most recently had to take a break from it as he cannot hold his guitar for long nor play the drums. I believe this has been his worst outbreak. Right now he is opting for an holistic approach but is also using prescribed creams from his doctor

It is tough living with this condition that's for sure.
I have tried just about everything.
My latest is Stelara. I had my first dose last month. This coming Monday I get my second then it's every 3 months there after. I do see a little improvement on my skin and I hope to see a much bigger improvement after the second dose.
What are you taking rt now? What have you tried? Is it working at all? Do you see any improvement at all?
